And I understand that in a discussion, if one cannot refute, discount, or destroy the arguments made, one resorts to ad hominems (namecalling) as the last result, hence, you saying my mind is in slavery and comparing my thinking to a prostitute who has a pimp. It is a tired tactic, Goddess Isis, but, I realize why you took that path.
Rather than taking this route you should have dealt with my points and arguments (or had Dr. Phil do it, if you are unable)
Why, for instance, does this "divine mind Afrikan", Dr. Phil, start out quoting three "white" people Karl Marx, Brams Stocker and Edgar Allan Poe to lay the foundation of his piece to refute the "white mans" religion?
It was Karl Marx who talked about religion and opium, which Dr. Phil changed to religion and crack. (I would love to talk about this one, because Marx is generally misunderstood and considered a basher of religion. Not so)
Bram Stocker was a fiction author who wrote about fictional things...vampires. They don't exist. Vampire bats exist, but, Dr. Phil's mention of Brams Stoker, took his talk to the level of fiction and the absurd.
Edgar Allan Poe is also a fiction writer. Instead of telling the audience to go read some fiction written by a "white" man, why not tell the audience to study the Spanish Inquisition, which is the subject of Poe's short story?
Dr. Phil went to great lengths to talk about vampires, but the title of his speech was "Vampires of Consciousness". What "consciousness"? He failed to define this consiousness that was being preyed upon by vampires. He failed to talk about what mental state was having the lifeblood sucked out of it by faith in Jesus. I don't even think he knows.
Martin Luther King, Hugo Chavez, Che, even Jimmy Carter believed in the principles of life that Jesus taught...love for all humanity, sideing with the oppressed against the oppressive State, defending the children, the women, feeding the hungry, healing the sick. Standing with the people of the Niger Delta, opposing the abuse of Palestinians (1/3 of the population are children), supporting Zimbabweans getting their land back and changing oppressive laws, as King did.
So, tell me the list of revolutionaries, activists and trail blazers amongst the "Afrikan divine minds". Or do they just use their "imaginations", as you say you do?

Through out the time of mankind, in every part of the world, in every generation to this day, man has worshipped. Karen Armstrong, author of "The History of God" said that archeologist found that artifacts of worship were some of the oldest items found in tombs. Worship is as old as art and may be one of the first things mankind did on the planet. She's an atheist. She wrote something that I have believed for sometime, that is, that mankind has a tendency to worship. That is why I say his debate about the impact of religion is a fight with humanity, not me. But, Goddess Isis, that you cannot see that you are knee deep in religion, Goddess...means that Stevie Wonder was also an appropriate resource for this lecture you enjoyed so well.
Goddess IsIs and all who praise and worship you and good Osiri: When you have completed the journey back to your divine mind set, then what? Those of you who have arrived, what have you got to show for it... in the world?

Then all of a sudden it hit me: If I can beleive in that which has never aided me and only kept me confussed, I know I can beleive in what I realize is the truth. I wish I could answer your question with a simple yes or no. What the Chief Elder and Goddess Isis, provide is beyond the intellect. It is in in the spiritual realm and the mind cannot interpret them in simple terms. Those that know, know, my sister; it is not formally taught because it is a journey that we must all undertake in this realm, if we are truly going to be free.
In simple terms, I am, spiritually conscious and actualized. However, I am, not perfect and do still have traits of what the Chief Elder, is bringing and focusing our attention on. This is exactly, why I am, in agreement with him even though, I am, one of the millions of Black folks, on this Internet.

What does it mean to be free and what does it mean to be in bondage?

I don't have to go to my pastor to deal with your Bishop Dr. Phil Valentine or anyone else you can present.
To distinguish this anti-Christian Valentine from the one on this list, I shall refer to him as Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil said that Christianity is the "Church of Satan". First mistake. One does not use Christian concepts to refute Christianity. "Satan", the father of lies is a Biblical Christian term...it has equivolents in many other religions by other names. By describing Chrisitianity as the Church of Satan, Dr. Phil is saying that Satan is valid. If Satan is valid, it implies that the Bible from whence it comes is valid.
Secondarily, Dr. Phil points out the books that were kept out of the King James Versions. Further, it means that even if Dr. Phil had all of the banned, deleted or rejected books, he is just as ignorant as he calls the rest of us. For, unless he can translate Latin, Hebrew, Amharic or Greek, he is dependent upon the interpretation of those who have translated them...upon their politics, their socialization and their prejudices....same as the rest of us.
If God is omniscient, which I believe is so, Truth, cannot be be lost in deletion or lost in translation.
Dr. Phil starts off saying that Constantine is the 'father of Christianity'. Says who? Jesus is the beginning and the end of Christianity, which is defined in Acts. The study of what Jesus said and did and the acts of his disciples...defines Christianity. "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith". Hebrews 12:2

As for Watkins, he generalizes about Christian pastors and Christians. I think his statements are about him and his daddy'schurch and no one else. I think it is petty of him to go after pastor's with big cars and mega profits and be silent about businesses with big workforces and mega profits. Its gullible simpeltons, like him, who after thousands of workers are layed off indefinitely from their auto making jobs because corporations becry profit loss, that will stand in line a few months later and pay $15 to see cars they cannot buy.
I don't put T.D. Jakes in the category of any of the other preachers that were mentioned in this investigation. Jakes has a body of work in the ministry. Have you read his "Woman, Art Loosed", book. When I say ministry, I mean that he caters to the needs of the poor, the broken, the incarcerated and his works do follow him. I have, however, submitted Creflo Dollar's response because he is the only one who did respond. Here is his response.

Dr. Watkins, as a Finance Professor, weighs in with his perspective on the issue. He simply asks the question "What would Jesus do?"
Dr. Watkins has appeared on ESPN, CNN, BET, Fox News, CBS and other networks fighting for racial equality. He and Al Sharpton appeared on The Wendy Williams Experience in New York, and Watkins has also gotten into powerful feuds with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News (The O'Reilly Factor) and Sean Hannity of Hannity & Colmes. He has appeared with Michael Eric Dyson many times, The Rev. Jesse Jackson and other African-Americans fighting for equal rights for black people. Watkins was one of the first to bring the Jena 6 case to light in national media, and he also was the one who gave Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson the idea to attack Don Imus' corporate sponsors. It was ultimately Watkins' idea that took Imus off the air.
