Introduction:

City Mayors of Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland, Denver and its state governer, the administors of city and state government, and the chiefs of police directing violence against citizens are not Republican men, but are Asian, Black, Jewish and Hispanic, male and female, and gay. They are a very diverse group. What they all have in common, is that, they are all members of the Democratic Party. They are Democratic Party heads of State and municipalities that are directing the violence against workers in the streets.

Not the proverbial 'white man', nor the 'conservative Repbulicans' can alone be blamed for brutality against workers...but members of the Democratic Party. This puts an end to the illusions of bourgeois 'identity politics' that emerged from ethnic and gender fragmentations that rejected the working class as 'white racists' and 'middle class' 'white skin priviledged'. What moreover ending delusions of grandeur of ethnic chauvanism and genderism is not just that the State's administrators of violence are 'people of color' and both gender and sexual orientations, but more importantly that it is the working class and the unions that are thoroughly diverse and united on common class interests that are the content of the present revival of social rebellion in response to the war on the working class.

The Democratic Party, once again, proves to be no "friend" to labor. On the contrary, this incident, the pre-dawn raid on Occupy Oakland, and in every other Occupy movement around the country where there were arrests and violence shows that the Democratic Party ordered police to attack workers. Ed Lee, is a the Democratic Party interim Mayor for San Francisco.

Trumka, who sits on Obama's Jobs Council with capitalist CEO of GE has not come out to condemn the orders of the Democratic mayors against the Occupy Movement. Obama has not come out to condemn these Democratic Party mayors.

Trumka has however, followed in behind President Obama to endorse his "Jobs Bill" that butchers workers of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security benefits to enable capitalists with more revenues to invest in their businesses. Capitalists claim that they need 'certainty' in order to hire workers. Yet, capitalists are certain about their mega-profits. Capitalsts are certain about their income being tripled and about the monopoly of their wealth.

It is the poor and working class that remain uncertain....uncertain about housing, uncertain about jobs, uncertain about heathcare, uncertain about education, uncertain about sustaining life for the elderly and for their grandchildren.

Yes, workers must continue to be vigilant against the violence of the Democratic Party police raids.

A pre-dawn raid refers to a military tactic that involves a group of people, usually military personnel, raiding a location in order to gain an upper hand in combat, retrieve an important document or file, or capture a specific person. The hostage is usually of high political influence or a leader of an opposing military institution.

Pre-dawn raids usually occur during the early morning (usually between one and four o'clock), when most civilians and military personnel are asleep. The force raiding then makes a covert entry across enemy lines into a civilian area or military encampment.

It is then the raiding army or force's goal to carry out the mission of capturing the person, file, or to kill some of the opposing army while they are left defenseless.

The Occupy Oakland (which suffered a pre-dawn raid by police in riot gear) was one of many cities that have faced violence and arrests in the last few days. City Mayors of Boston, Atlanta, Chicago and Oakland are not all, Republican, men but Asian, Black, Jewish and Hispanic, male and female, and all members of the Democratic Party . Using the argument of public safety, these rainbow colored face of the State have attacked and pummelled the peace of these unarmed , non-violent protests with tazers, flash grenades, billy clubs and batons, tear gas and rubber bullets. Contrast that with police protection of public assembly of armed Tea Partiers openly brandishing weapons.

See for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB9IXTcEh10

Inspired by protests in Egypt and Tunisia, the Occupy Movement continues. It has not yet reached the level of the protests that have taken place in France, Germany and Greece where workers are occupying factories and other means of production. The viciousness and escalation of militarism of the police, the war against collective barganing, trillions of dollars in cuts to vital programs for the poor, namely Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security only emphasize the class war that is being waged against the poor and working class.

50 years ago in his message, Martin Luther King, in his writing "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community, proposed an annual wage based on median income. The issues go far beyond mere occupation of a park. Issues of the huge disparities in wealth, lack of health care, eviction and homelessness, education and war and the devaluation of labor are at hand.

In the mean time, as King said in this speech to workers regarding the strike of sanitation workers: "But somewhere I read of the freedom of assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of the press. Somewhere I read that the greatness of America is the right to protest for right. And so just as I say, we aren't going to let any injunction turn us around. We are going on."

The Occupy Movement is going on. It shall continue.
